Everything started in the 97/98: André Casaca, on the occasion of his first theatrical formations in Italy, met Stefano Marzuoli and Teresa Bruno.
From that time born a profound understanding at an artistic level and the need to share a research path on physical theater and clowns.
In 2002 they founded, with the artistic direction of André Casaca, the Teatro C’art comic Education company, a stable research core that involved other Italian and foreign artists participate over the years. In those years Andrè Casaca develops and perfects the methodology “Comic-relational education” that will be applied by the Company in the artistic, social and educational field, allowing the development of research paths and artistic training rooted in the deconstruction of ordinary and predictable gestures and in the affirmation of a gestural identity far from representation. The company finds in the identification the fulcrum of its comic-corporeal work.
Since 2007, the Company has invested in its seat by purchasing a space of 200 m2 and thus laying the ground for the creation of the Centro Internazionale Teatro C’art, today with a larger office of 300 m2. A true “Factory of Art”!
Theater productions have been replicated in festivals and theaters in Italy and abroad in Switzerland, Germany, Palestine, Israel, Turkey, Ethiopia, Spain, Portugal, France, Brazil, Slovenia and Cape Verde. Teatro C’art won the Circus AWARD at the World School Creativity Festival, Sanremo May 2008.
The productions, created in these 20 years of artistic work, are for any type of audience, without barriers of language, age and culture. Starting from the training work, collaborations have developed with actors and actresses who, thanks to their artistic and human contribution, have enriched the history of the Company.
